Girls who play with trucks in the mud

There are some Southern Women who like to play in the mud, that is, girls who have big trucks with big mud tires.

Mud bogging, a relatively new sport especially in the South, seems to have really taken off, especially in Middle Tennessee. Some of the trucks are stock 4-wheel drive, some have been especially built for the mud, chassis lifted high off the ground, and huge tires, roll bars, and cages. Some are equipped with safety harnesses. All ride with helmets for safety.

The track is first dug out, then prepped with water which then forms into mud. A lot of the mud in the South is red clay, which makes for an interesting ride.

Each entry in each division is timed, and who makes it to the finish line in the least amount of time wins. Of course, like anything else, it is important to keep in the track, as the truck sometime "jumps" up the side, which is not a good run. 

Sometimes it's hard to make it to the end.

Most any Saturday night in the summer months, you will find many who enjoy "playing in the mud" in their work trucks, Jeeps, and hot rod trucks.

Mud trucks come in all shapes and sizes. Some look like trucks and some you wonder just what they are. Some have flags. Some are painted. Some have numbers. Some look just like they came off the farm.

Young girls grow up running their "Little Tykes" trucks then progress to lawn mowers, then the big trucks.

Under the lights, on a Saturday night. A rebel yell can be heard when crossing the finish line, a trophy and some prize money to follow.

The smell of hot dogs, hamburgers, and loads of fun.

A little mud all over never hurt anybody.
